We had the privilege to witness an incredible event at the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon on October 8, 2023. AThlete Unleashed, organized by AssisTech Foundation (ATF), showcased the transformative power of Assistive Technology (AT) in making running inclusive for individuals with disabilities in India.
18 remarkable participants, including inspiring people like Shekhar Naik, Padma Shree Awardee (2017) & Former Captain – Indian Blind Cricket Team, and Deepa Narasimhan, who boasts over 12 years of corporate experience, shaping diversity and inclusion strategies at MiQ, Dell Technologies to name a few ran 5kms, supported by CXO professionals as buddy runners. Their story is one of triumph and self-belief.
Dr. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna Awardee and President, Paralympic Committee Of India (PCI) flagged off this groundbreaking initiative.
The event also featured some ATF Portfolio startups pioneering Disability Inclusion through tech innovation, such Symbionic (#ATFCohort2), NeoMotion (#ATFCohort4), SignAble Communications, AxcesAble® and SHG Technologies Pvt Ltd (#ATFCohort5)
